Commenting on Our Site

When you leave comments on Giucas, we collect the data presented in the comment form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

If you’re using the Gravatar service, an anonymized string (also known as a hash) derived from your email address may be sent to Gravatar to verify your usage. Uploading Media

If you choose to upload images to Giucas, please avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS) within them. Visitors to the site can download and extract location data from images found on Giucas.

Cookies and You

When you leave a comment on Giucas, you have the option to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This feature is designed for your convenience, so you don’t need to re-enter your information each time you post a new comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Upon visiting our login page, we’ll set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie doesn’t contain personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Data Retention

If you leave a comment, we will retain the comment and its metadata indefinitely. This enables us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically, rather than holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on Giucas (if applicable), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, modify, or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of changing their username). Website administrators also have the ability to see and edit this information.

Your Data Rights

If you have an account on Giucas or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you’ve supplied to us.
